Lough Sheelin measures 4800 acres and is  7 kilometres long and 3 kilometres wide. Sheelin is one of Ireland's famous limestone loughs and because of this the trout it produces are much larger than the norm. The average trout size is over 3 lbs (1.3 kilograms)! Wild brown Trout up to 12 lbs. have been caught by our guests.
