A fishing holiday in Ireland for wild trout or huge pike is every
fisherman's dream. Captains Bay fishing lodge
is on the Crover shore of lough Sheelin, Ireland's premier
trout fishing lough.
The area abounds in lakes and rivers, amongst Lough Kinale,
Lough Ramor, and Lacken Lake for Coarse Angling, the River
Blackwater and Lough Sheelin for trout fishing.
Sheelin is famous for its mayfly fishing and for the
quality and size of its hard fighting wild brown trout
which it produces throughout the season. The cottage has
its own private pier with free boat and engine.
The setting of the house makes for a superb self catering

seperated from the house and kids can play in the large
top garden without going near the water
There are plenty of activities including bird watching,
golfing at the local hotel, horse riding, and walking.
There are also many sites of historical interest. The
area abounds in historic attractions, yet is easy to get
to from Dublin, being only 55 miles away.
